POUTA is bright, airy, and full of light...

Pouta is a series of art projects, which uses white cellulose fibre and paper pulp sheets as a creative material. The material originates from Finnish coniferous forests. Pouta combines art and heavy lumber industry in a new way by composing experimental, environmental and spatial artwork.

Pouta group consists of seven artist from Rauma area. The city of Rauma is located at the west coast of Finland. It is characterized by idyllic wooden
old town and traditional fine lace-making along with heavy forest and marine industry.

The first Pouta collaborative exhibition was on display at Rauma Art Museum on summer 2015. The inventive group work process gives Pouta artwork its strength and creative potency.
